RESULTS
Results from 2003: Approximately 500 people from 15 states competed for the title. The competitors ranged from 4 to 80 years old. The winners were: Grand Champion: Joshua Joplin of Bartonville, IL - 139 mushrooms. Men's First Place: Billy Deaton of Georgetown, IN - 137 mushrooms. Women's First Place: Darlene Mullins of Lowpoint, IL - 78 mushrooms. Men's Second Place: Bob Cox (hometown unknown) - 123 mushrooms. Women's Second Place: Beth Miller of Janesville, WI - 55 mushrooms. Largest Mushroom: Aubrey Grace of Springfield, IL - 9.25" tall + 8" circumference = 17.25". Smallest Mushroom: Randy Dedecker of East Moline, IL - Too small to measure - we had to send someone for a magnifying glass to verify that it was truly a morel.
