RESULTS
Results from 2004: Approximately 500 people from 17 states competed for the title.
The competitors ranged from 1 to 90 years old.
The winners were: Grand Champion: Robert Griffin, Mattoon, IL - 37 mushrooms.
Note: In the previous eight years we've only had one tie. When this happens, we weigh the mushrooms and the most weight wins. This year, we had two ties - one in each division. |
Men's First Place: Paul Sylvain, Rochester, IN - 35 mushrooms. Weight = 22.5 oz.
Men's Second Place: Eric Grunden, Urbana, IL - 35 mushrooms. Weight = 19.75 oz.
Women's First Place: Janet Sherburne, Downers Grove, IL - 18 mushrooms. Weight = 19 oz.
Women's Second Place: Marcia Woolen, Sullivan, IL - 18 mushrooms. Weight = 15 oz.
Largest Mushroom: Pamela Starkey, Peru, IN - 9.5" tall + 8.5" circumference = 17.5".
Smallest Mushroom: Robin Gross, Mt Vernon, IN - Approximately 1/4" tall and less than 1/4" circumference.
